The OSPO Alliance
Published: 09 Sep 2018
The OSPO Alliance is a community-led initiative to help organisations adopt best practices about open source software, in order to help them better use and adopt it, and to contribute back and actively participate in the community and ecosystem.
See our official website: https://ospo-alliance.org
We conduct a number of actions to acomplish these goals:
- We publish and regularly update the Good Governance Initiative Handbook, a set of guidelines and good practices that one can use to define and set up their OSPO. It is published in PDF and HTML format for easy consumption, and is now available in several languages: English (original), French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian and Spanish.
- We hold monthly webinars, the OnRamp series, where seasoned users share their experience, thoughts and activities around OSPOs. It is followed by a time dedicated to questions and safe discussion, under the Chatham House Rule. Participation is very easy: no fee, no need to register: just come and have a seat!
- We provide a safe community place for exchanges about OSPOs, around a mailing list and a forum.
- We regularly present our work in conferences and events around OSPOs: EclipseCon, OW2Con, OpenSource Experience, FOSDEM.
